The Department of Security Convergence in the Graduate School of Chung-Ang University aims to educate convergence security professionals
who can protect the core assets of the nation and industry in a rapidly changing era of digital transformation.
Through education and research that combine knowledge and technology from a range of disciplines, we address the security challenges facing industry and society
and educate specialists who will lead the field of convergence security.
Today's security threats extend well beyond the network layer to advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and cloud computing.
In response, our graduate program has built a convergence education system that spans management, law and regulation, policy, and psychology as well as technology.
Our faculty includes not only researchers in computing, AI, and data science but also experts in law, management, and policy. Together they teach technical security and security management in balance, helping students develop the convergence security expertise needed to respond to complex security environments.
Our department is recognized for excellence in both education and research.
It has received the highest rating in the University's graduate program evaluation for three consecutive years, demonstrating the quality of its education and the strength of its research.
This reflects Chung-Ang University's recognition of convergence security as a key growth field for the future and its continued investment in the area.
We pursue education and research that reach beyond the classroom and work closely with industry.
Through partnerships with organizations including the National Intelligence Service, KB Kookmin Bank, Bithumb, and Raonsecure, we study real-world problems in cybersecurity and convergence security, and our industry-academic cooperation with LG CNS supports the education of specialists needed in the era of digital transformation (DX).
We also regularly host the Data & Privacy Forum, bringing together the public and private sectors to lead academic and industrial discussion on data protection and privacy.
Through national research funding programs and talent development initiatives, our department provides extensive scholarship support and a strong research environment so that students can focus on their studies and research.
In addition, cooperative programs with the Department of Industrial Security and the Graduate School of Security at Chung-Ang University give students opportunities to engage with working professionals and share practical experience, strengthening academic research and professional capability together.
We aspire to be an academic community where people from diverse backgrounds come together to share knowledge, collaborate, and grow.
We will continue our efforts to educate future professionals who will lead the field of convergence security in Korea and around the world.
We invite you to realize your ambition to lead digital trust and the future of convergence security here at the Department of Security Convergence, Chung-Ang University.
We educate security specialists who combine expertise in the latest ICT — including AI and big data — with a managerial understanding of business, law, and regulation, and who can apply both to respond proactively to increasingly complex convergence security threats.
Building on an industry-academic network that includes the National Intelligence Service and major corporations, we educate practice-oriented convergence security professionals who can analyze the security risks that arise in industry and develop practical solutions and strategies.
We educate forward-looking convergence security leaders who advance privacy protection and digital trust in the data economy and contribute to the sustainable development of industry and society.
